how does dots projector work phasmophobia

Dots Projector is a simple application which allows you to project an image onto your phone/tablet screen and scan it in 360 degrees. It also provides a way of projecting the image on a wall or ceiling, if desired.

The idea behind the app is simply by rotating your device and stepping forward or backward through the photo, you can pan 360 degrees around it, just like with a normal digital camera or scanner.

In order to use this app properly, you need to work out what type of projections mechanism is best suited for your specific needs: rotation mirror (like on mobile phones), spinning motor (like on VR headsets) or moveable arm (like on drones).

The main purpose of this app is to provide you with simple and easy ways to share all kinds of photos with friends.

I'm not a professional graphic designer, but I'm trying to make the app as easy to use as possible.

Feel free to share experience about how you're using the app, I'm very curious about it :)

The original Dot Projector v1.0 arrived in the App Store in June 2011, and was downloaded over 7,000 times in its first 10 days of availability. That version permitted only for video projections rather than photos; required support for all orientations of a device’s screen; and did not have any different modes available. The first major update to the application, Dot Projector v1.1, arrived in October 2011. That version added support for photo projections as well as video. It also enabled both portrait and landscape orientations of a device’s screen, which was seen by many users as a critical missing feature in the original version.

Version 1.2 of the app was introduced in early 2012 and brought support for content within the iOS 5 Photo Library; this version also allowed for the disabling of sound effects used by the app. Version 1.3 was a minor update, which added support for the iOS 6 Photo Library and brought some improvements to the visuals of the app.  The most recent update to Dot Projector came in March 2013, when version 1.4 was released. This version came with an improved user interface, more than 200 new photos to choose from at launch, as well as updates for both portrait and landscape orientations of iPhone/iPod touch devices.

Dot Projector is a free app, but there are additional in-app purchases that can be made to unlock all of the photos in the application.

background information: concept

, development, functionality and usage of the content provided by the app

I took the photos used for this app from my own pictures and videos. Some got used in my other apps (Famous Faces and Cinemagraphs). Others I combined from different sources to get a more distinctive look. The selection of photos was made without any restrictions on gender, age or other criteria. On some of them you can see very minor changes in light or shadow, but these are only discernible to someone who looks at it directly (or prints it out). This is deliberate; it was a way for me to get more pictures that would not fit into my portfolio: in general, I just do not shoot so many types of images.
